Ans: Good morning respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends.
Today, on Water Literacy Day, I would like to speak about something we use every minute but rarely value: water. Water is life, and the slogan “Save water, save life” is truer today than ever before. Our population is growing fast, so the demand for water is rising every day. We need water at home for drinking and cooking, in farms for growing crops, and in factories for making goods. If we waste it, there will not be enough for everyone. That is why water management is so important. We must repair leaking taps, switch off taps when not in use, and reuse water wherever possible. Rain water harvesting is another simple and effective solution. Collecting rain water from rooftops and recharging wells can solve water shortage in our school and in our homes. We must also remember that water keeps our ecosystem alive. Plants, animals and birds all depend on rivers, lakes and wells, and pollution of water harms them all.
So let us promise today to use every drop wisely and teach others to do the same.
Thank you.

Our population is growing, and more water is needed at home, on farms and in industries. Therefore, we must manage water carefully. We should close taps after use and not waste water. Rain water harvesting can also help us store water for the future. Water is also important for plants, animals and birds, so we must keep it clean and protect our ecosystem.
