(1) Disaster Management
Ans:
(i) Sometimes we have to face natural disasters such as floods, fires, cloudbursts, cyclones, earthquakes, and landslides. We may also face man-made disasters such as riots, bomb blasts, dam failures, and epidemics.
(ii) These disasters cause loss of human lives, damage to property, and displacement of people. Therefore, rehabilitation becomes very important.
(iii) Disaster Management is a process that helps us face disasters in a scientific and organized manner.
(iv) The entire district administration works together during such situations.
(v) Modern technology helps us get early warnings about disasters like floods and storms. This helps people to prepare in advance and reduce loss.
